Many will find this a hippy-dippy posit, but... there is no need for war. Every major conflict in the history of man has been about religious differences, greed, ego or revenge. Humans are not ready to give up any of these attitudes, so war will be on this planet for many years to come. Writing your congressman and protesting in the streets might do some good... but not much. The war machine is a gargantuan monolith and too many special interest are making too much money to dismantle it just yet.
There is only one solution to war and it happens one heart at a time. A little kinder, a little more understanding, a little more loving. Hearts are usually moved incrementally, which can be frustrating. Deep down, in their very marrow, most people are ready to leave their war-like attitudes behind. But they're scared. If they become vulnerable, then won't they be at a disadvantage? Won't people mistake kindness for weakness? Won't they fall behind in a dog-eat-dog world?
Well, no. They won't. Because you get back more of what you project. That is not New Age mularkey, but basic quantum physics. So we should certainly honor those whose blood has seeped into battlefield soil, as we should honor all life.
But, please, let's not erect more monuments to war and make heroes of those who propagate it.

Felinia Hits the Catnip
Oh, my aching ears.
So last night my cousin Betsy and her new bf Pirateboy were in town and we decided to go scrounge up a little grub. Found some nice barely-touched filet mignons behind the local steakhouse, and a side of melted vanilla ice cream to boot. Quite tasty.
I was ready to call it a night, but this Pirateboy dood is a wild one, pulls out a stash of the old 'nip. Just to be sociable I put a pinch between my cheek and gum. Yowzers, it had been awhile since I'd partaken and the green went right to my gray matter.
Before we knew it, his supply was gone and we were mewling like madcats all up and down that alley. We scored some more from an old Tom and the last thing I remember was caterwauling with a bunch of fellow nippers in front of a milk bottling factory.
My head may regret last night's festivities, but the rest of me doesn't. Sometimes we need a little artificial stimulation to shake off the dusty shawl of pattern and convention. A little nip or bud or drink to raise up our vibrations, even temporarily, and gain a new perspective. Blow out the pipes, as it were.
So Felinia is no teetotaler. I will put the lampshade on my head from time to time and dance until dawn. If we can't cut loose on occasion, what use is life on this little blue orb?

CATMA says...
...you are often too finicky about your food.
You think it's we cats who will put our noses in the air like aristocrats and pass on anything short of filet mignon? Well, take a gander at your own habits, humans!
Of course it's true that much of your food supply is overprocessed and contains too many chemicals and pesticides. You certainly shouldn't be consuming TV dinners every day of your life, or pulling into the drivethrough at Micky Dee's too often. Fresher is better, and don't overeat. These things are obvious.
But beyond that, lighten up a little, people. I mean, I myself have been known to capture plump moths and snarf them down. Never hurt me none.
Beyond the self-evident notions of eating less and avoiding too many chemicals, you can basically ingest about anything you want with one caveat... it's your ATTITUDE about the food that matters most. If you feel guilty eating a cupcake, the havoc that guilt wreaks upon your system is worse than the sugar and fat. If a bowl of ice cream causes you to bring out the self-flagellation whip, then that is the problem, not having some yummy dairy.
So I, Felinia, have a suggestion. Consciously work on your attitude about food. Come to an understanding that WHATEVER you choose to put in your magnificent bubble of biology will cause no harm and will be converted to wonderful energy. Once you make this shift, your mood will soar and your body will whirr.

Ask Felinia: Envy
A reader writes...
Dear Felinia,
I work really hard and envision a better future for myself, yet my life never really seems to change. Then I look at someone like Paris Hilton, who not only had everything handed to her, but continues to get opportunity after opportunity based on negligible talent. How is this fair?
Envious in Canton
Dear Envious,
As hard as this is to fathom, Paris chose the basic aspects and parameters of her life before she incarnated, as did you. But then why, you will ask, did I pick a hard life? Maybe it will seem like a copout to you, but the answer is simple: for the experience. And through that experience, soul growth. So does this mean life is all destiny, all decided before you incarnated? Nope. The general themes and circumstances are something you chose, but the particulars are constantly morphing due to your own decisions and attitudes.
A good two-pronged strategy is to make the best of where you are with what you have, and lighten up about it all. Your soul really doesn't care so much if your nest is feathered or not; these are more human worries, and will pass.
I, Felinia, spent much of my teen years as a feral, orphaned kitty without a home. There were nights when my tummy grumbled and my ears shivered. But I got through it, and so will you. These are only circumstances. Try to concentrate on your True Being... which is eternal, immortal, and impervious to pain.
Love your light,
Felinia

The Four Laws of the Universe
They are:
1) Don't drink curdled milk.
2) Chase mice daily.
3) Rubbing up against things feels good.
4) Don't give dogs the time of day.
Okay, just joshing. The real Laws are as follows and are ironclad in all spheres of existence, all dimensions.
1) You exist. This will always be so. You will eventually shed your human costume, as I will my cat coat, and reemerge into pure, positive energy. But the real you--your soul--goes on and on. You can never cease to be. Isn't that good news?
2) The One is All and the All are One. In other words, the universe is holographic. A grain of sand is just as "Godly" as a golden goblet or Jesus. It is all the same energy in different form. Hence, it probably a good idea to have reverence for ALL life.
3) What you put out is what you get back. Law of Attraction. You are the one in control and you can consciously choose your beliefs, self-definitions and worldview. So, if you want to think the world is a cold and unfair place, experiences that reflect this stance will boomerang to you. Conversely, if you believe it is love-filled with well-being as its base, this is what will return to you. Pretty simple, yes?
4) All things change... except the first three Laws. You really must learn to roll with these changes because life is always going to morph and amend. And it is ALWAYS, despite what may seem tragic, for the ultimate highest good.
Now please excuse me... I have a mouse to chase.

Ask Felinia
A reader writes...
"Dear Pussycat: I have been engaged to a man for three years and we still haven't set the date. It seems almost as if we have both lost interest in getting married, and maybe in each other, but neither wants to admit it or even go there are all. What should I do?" --Weddingless in Wichita
Dear Weddingless: I can't tell you what to do; only you can decide. But perhaps I can offer insight. A relationship is not a 'failure' simply because it morphs into something else or even ends. Often two humans come together for an experience that they mean, on the soul level, to be short-lived. Not every male and female who date or become engaged or even marry are meant to celebrate a Golden wedding anniversary.
You often come together to explore your own issues, to face certain things... and simply for the experience of melding with that other person. So please do not feel guilty if you determine that it is time to move on. This relationship may have already served its purpose and now you are ready for something else.
Love your light,
Felinia

CATMA says...
THE UNIVERSE IS CONSPIRING IN YOUR FAVOR
Yes, it's difficult to grasp this when you are standing in line at the DMV, stuck in traffic or, in my case, being mewled at by a boring tomcat. Nevertheless, it's true.
The Universe can be likened to a rushing stream. If you don't try to buck the current, you will be taken to places that will please you and be wonderful for your growth. So how does one buck the current of well-being? The usual ways... anger, fear, resentment, guilt, revenge, greed, lack of self-love.
Just row your boat gently down that stream and all will be well.
